Meat Loaf

8-inch Dutch oven
8 briquettes on the lid
8 briquettes on the bottom
Baking time: 350° for 50 minutes
1 pound ground lean beef or turkey burger
1 cup soda crackers, crushed
1 cup oatmeal
½ cup ketchup
1 egg beaten
½ cup tomato soup
½ teaspoon sea salt
½ teaspoon McCormick Montreal Steak
½ cup chopped yellow onion


Thoroughly mix ground beef, crackers, oatmeal, egg, soup, onion, salt, and seasoning. Bake for 50 minutes. Top with ketchup for the last 5 minutes of baking.

Note: This recipe makes an excellent meat loaf that tastes great even when used for leftovers such as sandwiches. It has a hearty beef and onion flavor.
