Apple Pudding




1/2 cup of butter

1 cup of sugar

1 egg, beaten

1/2 teaspoon of ground cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon of ground nutmeg

1/2 teaspoon of allspice

1 cup of cooked appl es

1 cup of flour

1 teaspoon of baking soda

1/4 teaspoon of salt

For the sauce:

1/2 stick of butter

1 cup of brown sugar

6 tablespoons of milk

Cream the brown sugar and butter together and add the beaten egg. Sift together the cinn amon,

nutmeg, allspice, flour, baking soda, and salt and add to the butter/brown sugar mixture.

Fold in the cooked apples and pour into a greased 8” X 8” X 2” baking dish. Bake at 350 d egrees

for 30 to 35 minutes. Mix the 1/2 stick of butter, 1 cup of brown sugar, and the 6 tabl espoons

of milk together in a pot. Bring the sauce mixture to a boil and simmer for 5 minutes.

Serve by pouring the warm sauce over the apple pudding.
